Worship

Worship Services are centered around the proclamation of the Word and celebration of Holy Communion and follow the liturgical tradition of the Western Order of Holy Communion services: Gathering, Word, Meal and Sending.

Worship at Grace

Grace worships in the traditional manner at 8:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m each Sunday. Children's Word Time is offered where children can hear about God's love for them in an age appropriate setting.

Holy communion is served at all services.  This is the Lord's table and all are welcome.  Children who have not received their First Communion may come to the altar for a blessing at this time.  Nursery service is available.

A contemporary worship service known as Grace Place is held each Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m.  Holy Communion is served at Grace Place. The service is similar in structure to Sunday worship except that the music is contemporary and the manner more casual and sermons are generally interactive.

Seasonal Services

Advent wreathlenten cross

Seasonal Services for Advent and Lent are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. during their respective seasons.  The service setting is Holden Evening Prayer.  Wednesday worship is preceded by a community supper.

Sacraments

Sacrament of Holy Baptism
Baptism is an act of God that unites us with the risen Christ and makes us members of God's family.  People may be baptised at any age, but need to receive this sacrament only once in their lifetime.  Infants and children are baptized so that they may receive the benefits of God's grace, freedom from sin, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Parents and sponsors promise to bring the child up in the Christian faith.  Adults are baptized after a period of instruction and a profession of faith.  Baptisms are held as part of the regular worship of the congregation.
